By purchasing a ticket to the National Museum of the Pacific War online,

you agree to wear a mask over your mouth and nose in all Museum buildings.

The Museum is operated by a private, not for profit organization and with approval from the State of TX, we will continue to limit capacity and maintain our established Covid policies for the safety of our staff and guests.


VIP Timed Admission tickets are valid from your selected entry time to 5:00 PM the next day. After initial entry, VIPs may come and go as they please. Available daily through March 20. After March 20, this ticket option will be offered Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

The National Museum of the Pacific War is open on a limited basis and by reservation. To reduce opportunities for contact transmission of COVID-19, we strongly recommend that you purchase tickets online up to four weeks in advance of your visit. Drop-in VIP admission is as space is available. 

The Museum closes at 5:00 PM. The Museum is closed Monday and Tuesday. 

  • Begin your visit by checking into the George H.W. Bush Gallery at 311 East AUSTIN Street, Fredericksburg, TX within the first 15 minutes of your selected entry time. (For example, if you purchased tickets for 10:00 AM, please plan to arrive between 10:00 and 10:15 AM.)
  • Once in the Museum, you may enjoy the exhibits and stories until 5:00 PM. 
  • If you are running late, please call 830-997-8600 to let us know.

The Pacific Combat Zone is open from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Timed tickets are not required to visit the Pacific Combat Zone, however, donations are welcomed.


FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED IN ALL MUSEUM BUILDINGS. (If you're unable to wear a mask for any reason, we'll be happy to welcome you back when you're comfortable wearing one.)We repeat: staff and visitors are required to wear masks over their mouths and noses in the buildings.

  • If you do not have a mask, we will provide you with a disposable mask when you check-in for your visit.
  • If you are unable to wear a mask due to a medical condition or other concern, for your own safety as well as the safety of our staff, volunteers, and other guests, please plan to visit after COVID-19 has passed or when you feel comfortable wearing a mask. 
  • In order to maintain social distancing standards, reservations are limited to 25 visitors every half-hour. 
  • The galleries have one-way traffic only. 
  • Several high-touch features are temporarily closed.
  • Galleries are sanitized throughout the day. 
  • We have automated hand sanitizers in the galleries for your convenience.

The health and safety of our visitors, members, volunteers, and staff are our first priorities. Although staff will be in the galleries to sanitize high-touch areas, we will remind visitors of our “house rules”:

  • If you are sick, please stay home.
  • If you feel uncomfortable for any reason, please plan to visit us another day.
  • Look at, but don’t touch the exhibits.
  • Wash your hands, refrain from touching your face, and use hand sanitizer often. 
  • Unless you’re with your family or visiting as a group, maintain 6' of physical distance between you and others. Provide space for other guests to pass comfortably and safely.
  • There is limited restroom access at this time.

You will begin your timed visit at the Bush Gallery, 311 East Austin Street.

TO RESCHEDULE YOUR TICKETS. We understand that plans change. We will do our best to accommodate requests for rescheduling. Please call 830-997-8600 to for more information.

TO REFUND YOUR TICKETS. Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance of the timed admission will receive a 100% refund. Given current COVID protocols, tickets are non-refundable within 24 hours of the timed admission and are considered a donation to the museum in support of our mission to educate and inspire present and future generations about WWII in the Asiatic Pacific Theater and the relevance of its lessons.
